Geschiedenis Olympiastadion
Het Olympiastadion in Berlijn is gebouwd van 1934 tot 1936 ter voorbereiding op de Olympische Spelen in Berlijn van 1936. Op 1 augustus 1936 werd het stadion officieel geopend. Het Olympisch Stadion Berlijn is gebouwd op de plaats van het oude Grunewaldstadion, of Deutsches stadion. Sinds 1963 speelt Hertha BSC haar thuiswedstrijden in het Olympia Stadion. Het stadion heeft het hoogtste aantal permanente zitplaatsen in Duitsland, 74.475. Er zijn 290 persplaatsen, 133 skybox plaatsen, 580 box-plaatsen, 563 lounge-stoelen, 4413 business-seats en 174 rolstoelplekken in het Olympisch Stadion in Berlijn. Het stadion is meerdere keren gerenoveerd en verbouwd, onder andere voor het WK 2006. De finale van het WK 2006 werd in het Olympia Stadion in Berlijn gespeeld. Ook alle finales van de DFB-Pokal (de Duitse voetbalbeker) worden in het Olympisch Stadion in Berlijn afgewerkt.
